Premiere of 'I not I' by Colette Sadler

I NOT I by Colette Sadler will have premiere on February 3rd and 4th at Sophiensaele Berlin. Other performances will follow at Tramway Glasgow on March 9th and 10th.

This new piece by british choreographer brings together 3 dancers and one musician.

I not I lives within an installation for theatre that invites the audience to venture into a world of the familiar unfamiliar that manifests itself in the chaos of gesturing the inanimate. Colette Sadler ask’s “Which forms and meanings are left to discover when one disassociates the ‘human’ from the body and its gestures?”,

In this dance performance Sadler creates hybrids by amplifying the peripheral bodies in oneself: animal, machine, object, and mineral. She pushes the performers into the experience of being outside one’s body, of living it as a foreign entity. Limbs and gestures cut loose gain a life and truth of their own, moving into the realm of uninhabited forms and meanings.

Nathalie Collantes at Videodanse !

"Vincent et Nathalie à Beaubourg" is shown on December 21 at 20h35; also every day, all day long, in the Vidéodanse installations.

Faz, an experimental video film by Nathalie Collantes will be shown at Vidéodanse-Pompidou Centre on december 24 at 16h30 and on December 30 at 15h55. It has been made in 2000 from rushes of Algo sera films -choreographic piece- and is part of the programme Tribute to Vincent Druguet, symbolic dancer of the French contemporary dance died in April 2010.

Where do the past and the present meet ?



Between 21 and 26 October, 2011, Christina Ciupke performs a collection of 8 earlier works, created in collaboration with other artists. This is less about looking back (about retrospection), and more about re-discovering what the methods, concepts and moments of human relationships within these pieces might mean now. How might they survive the (elapsed) time in between ? What they might reveal to others about a choreographic practice, and the ways in which thoughts appear, disappear and re-appear ?'
